			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Squee!! For my birthday, John got a new lens for the camera: a 55mm-250mm one I&#8217;ve been coveting. I heart the macro picture, but wanted something more&#8230;like something I could use to take pictures from across the room. To demonstrate, instead of taking one of the couple pictures I took from across the room, I actually got a really good shot of what I <em>could</em> do with a long lens like this.</p>

<p>That is one of our cats, Puffy. He&#8217;s sitting on a cooler (across the room!), and between us is one of our dining room chairs, which has a heart cutout. Completely would not have been able to do this with the standard 18mm-55mm lens we have now. <em>And</em> this was only at 100mm. I could have taken a &#8220;closer&#8221; picture!</p>
