You know what’s a neat trick? I have my blog in my RSS feed in Google Reader, though I never actually read it. So I always have a post there! So I keep thinking, Hey, I must have posted!

This just gave me the giggles. My favorite is the Wes Anderson one, and not just because it’s all about the last time the Steelers won the Super Bowl. Good luck guys, and happy football tomorrow!

Why yes, this is the second political speech I’ve posted within a week. But after teaching during the second Bush administration and suffering through his State of the Union speeches, I really enjoyed listening to Obama’s speech last night. You can watch it yourself at the White House webpage, as I don’t believe it’s been uploaded to YouTube yet. Personally, I am very much looking forward to the age of the geek.
And for you trivia buffs, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar was the cabinet member staying home last night.
Happy 50th Anniversary, JFK Inauguration! Here’s the entire speech for you to see:
Also, I had the opportunity to listen to a great discussion on WBUR’s On Point yesterday. I highly recommend it as a discussion on JFK’s call to “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.” I like that idea, and would like it even more if today’s generation might take that kind of selflessness a bit more seriously. Along with that, my quote of the week is, “Civility is not a sign of weakness.”

Yes, it’s late in the day, but it still counts!
And really, I’m mostly posting this because I was at this concert. If you don’t believe me, as my stepdaughter, who said from across the room, “I can hear you laughing.” Oh, and it’s a great song too.

Today’s post is mainly a reminder for myself. On the ride into work, I heard a story about Xtranormal, where you can make cartoon movies with computer-generated voices. I really liked this video, which I saw on election day:
Hopefully, I’ll even figure out some time to write up some scripts!
