I don’t know about this cat sometimes. She sat like this for a good five minutes or so, letting me get a couple of good shots. Taken with our most recent addition, a Canon PowerShot S95. And really, I didn’t even do much to the picture before I got this!

This past weekend, my husband and I went to Provincetown for our anniversary. I did not pack my backup battery, so didn’t get a whole lot in the way of photography, but I did manage to capture some of those iconic Cape Cod pictures. First, I present The Cape Cod Gull.

Seriously, it’s been a month since I updated? I guess time flies when you’re swamped with work! Anywho, the other day I snuck up on two of the cats while they were napping, and managed to get some good shots. This is Sasha, and I’m not sure I’ve seen her this still for so long…

Another winning park in Orlando is Sea World! I haven’t been there in ages, but with the first-thing-in-the-morning roller coaster, feeding rays AND dolphins, and seeing the animal shows for the first time through Ethan’s eyes, it was an awesome day. I should have a couple more good pictures, but I swear, this one is AS. SHOT.

From Disney’s Animal Kingdom, just outside the safari ride. I only took 365 pictures yesterday, and happily a lot of them turned out well. Though I’ll admit I did “cheat” and put the camera on full auto while I was on the safari.

Who Are You?

I’m on vacation this week, meaning that, of course, I overscheduled myself last week. I’ll be better this week!

I am staying in Orlando with my extended family, and out our resort, we took a walk with Ethan and my nephew. We found a pair of ducks with a 9 ducklings, but the best picture I got was of this guy. And I have no clue what kind of bird it is, since I’m not native to Florida or anything. Thoughts?

I was having issues with the camera the other day, and got some weird flash effects. This was initially all kinds of washed out, but I was pretty pleased with how I made it turn out.

If you don’t like it…I was also hanging out on the porch, which doesn’t really have the best light for editing pictures by.
