Tomatoes!

In the beginning of July, I decided we needed a trash can with a lid. I went to the local hardware store by Ethan’s school, and along with the trash can, they were getting rid of their stock of sickly plants. I picked up this cherry tomato plant, since it looked to be the least sickly, and actually had some tomatoes on it. Now I’m doing backflips over it, since I’m actually going to be able to eat these!

This is less a “Look at my pretty picture” picture, and more of a “Look!! I’m growing food!!” picture. We’d like to expand our garden next year, so if you have any suggestions for small-garden foods, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Good Ratio

When we went out to the Futures at Fenway, there were five adults to keep track of Ethan. The next day, we had four adults to keep track of Ethan as we went hiking to Purgatory Chasm. Those ratios seem just about right for a five-year-old.

From left to right: John, David, and Slippy. Ethan in the front, oblivious for the moment that I’m taking his picture. Purgatory Chasm, Sutton MA.

Stairway

From walking around Cambridge looking for the Friendly Toast, though this was after dinner when everyone was much happier and full of the best home fries ever. No touching up on this one. I realize it’s a little blurry, as it was a slightly longer exposure and I don’t walk around with a tripod, but check out the sky!

He Brought His Own Glasses

We both actually enjoyed baseball a lot more than we thought we would. Seriously!

He Took My Glasses

Yesterday, we went to Fenway Park to see the Portland Sea Dogs and Pawtucket Red Sox play in the Futures at Fenway game. They didn’t play each other…who would you root for?…but this marked the first time I’d been inside Fenway. We left before the second game finished, but it was a fantastic day out!

John Swinging

This is one of those times where I love Photoshop. Almost as much as I love the sport function on my camera. Though it would have been nice if the trees had leaves on them, but what can you expect for April in New England?
