This past weekend, Ethan and I went out for a haircut (his), then for a walk. We moseyed down to Cochituate State Park, where there just happened to be a regatta going on. I wasn’t much impressed with the regatta, but I was qute excited to see green! On the trees! I realize that spring started a few weeks ago, but yay!! Spring!!

Row of employee housing belonging to the Amoskeag Mill Company. I’m not big on US History, but Manchester’s history really fascinates me. And I want those arches on a house someday.

I did play around with the sky color, tree branches, and the light itself. Feedback welcome! Marlborough MA

So this past weekend, I went to the House of Blues in Boston to see Morrissey. I keep meaning to write a review, though basically that would be summed up by this: Morrissey was awesome, the House of Blues is beautiful, the staff was beyond awesome and friendly, and their restaurant needs more vegetarian options. The one thing I do think deserves its own entry is this: the bar has Crystal Head Vodka.
Sorry about the quality there…picture was taken with my cell phone, as they have a very strict No Camera policy. Boston MA

Finishing the illustration of my creative process, such as it is. I took this picture while waiting for my car to be finished, and when I showed it to John, he suggested I cut out the bolts and do something with the background. Of course, I forgot what he mentioned I should do with the background, so I started playing around.
With the psd file I saved earlier, I decided to just make the background black and white and focus on the bolts. Still couldn’t decide what to do with them, so after playing with some gradient colors of the three of them together, I decided to do a solid color over each of them. By this time, Ethan was watching me, and helped me decide to make them red, green, and blue. Since I do use RGB colors anyway…
