I’m not sure who’s reading this, aside from John and I, but I do screen comments, on the rare occasion I get them. Ooh! And this weekend, I got my first totally random comment!
Hello Man!, please, help.
What is a good description of what beer smells like?
Thenks, bro. I am vaiting for answer!!!
Well, blekanajone, if that is your real name, and if so, I’m very sorry for you… Beer smells like…er…beer. Or kinda like tequila, but with less of a bite. I’m afraid I’m more of a vodka gal myself, which doesn’t have much of a smell, since I keep mine in the freezer. It’s just better that way, trust me.
Oh, and being a girl…I don’t think I quite fit the description of “bro”.
Keep those questions coming! I’m always here to help.

On the Thursday Threesome, I’ll choose a theme and describe three things that have to do with that theme. Next weekend, I shall be tripping off for a long weekend, which will also include a long 9-hour drive. Whee! Hopefully I’m not running around trying to get everything done at the last minute, but you are well warned if I disappear for the weekend. This Thursday is three places I’ve been, but want to go back:
- Ithaca NY: I got my BA at Ithaca College, and I knew the moment I walked into Dillingham Center (the theatre department) that that’s where I wanted to be. Of course, the view of Cayuga Lake with the fountains didn’t hurt. Plus, the city itself was a fantastic mix of small town/college town/every town, and I just fell in love with it. So even though the snow would routinely be over my head, I wouldn’t hesitate if you gave me a lake house there.
- Paris: Yes, I know this will probably be the chiche answer, but I only had 1 full day in Paris the time I visited. I did get to see the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, and the Tour Eiffel, but there’s so much more! Catacombs! Montmarte! Moliere’s grave!
- Bellagio (Las Vegas): And for my decadent answer, I would love to be a VIP out at the Bellagio. I used to work there, in the basement, which was still pretty swank. Oh, and I can tell you specificially what I would like there… To stay in one of the Villas, to go see O again, to eat at Sensi and Le Cirque, and have some crepes at Jean Phillipe. *sigh*
Have an idea for a Thursday Threesome? Leave a comment, and I’ll see what I can do!

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter Weekend. Or a … lovely Passover? Does one have a lovely Passover? I was celebrating the coming of spring…just in time for it to drop down to freezing at night. Again. But hey, at least it’s not snowing here in Massachusetts.
I had a nice time with the family, and visited this cat. Her name is on the tip of my tongue, but, of course, I can never remember it. *facepalm*

I filed this picture under man-made, since the photoshopping was done to emphasize the chairs and table. And if I hadn’t done this so late at night, I would have gone back in to do a different shot emphasizing the flowers on the table, since I honestly didn’t notice them until I was done.

I’m becoming really fond of this background treatment: I make a copy of the background, turn it black and white, then reduce the opacity to give the overal background an antiqued look. I also added a little Gaussian blur…’cause everything’s better with a Gaussian blur.
